 SSJ Art Design Receives Honorable Mention in Texas Shores Magazine Art Contest

Austin, Texas – Award-winning abstract artist Sandra Strauss Jones announced from SSJ Art Design offices today that her art contest submission, “Endless Sunset,” received an honorable mention in the Texas Shores magazine art contest.

Texas Shores is Texas Sea Grant’s award-winning magazine that explores the major issues affecting the people, communities, industries and natural resources of coastal Texas and the marine environment.  The Texas Sea Grant College Program is a collaboration of the National Oceanic and atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the State of Texas and universities across the state.  Texas Sea Grant’s competitive research program draws on the expertise of the state’s top scientists.  At the same time, its coastal extension agents and specialists working in the field translate and communicate research results to stakeholders in ways that meet the real-world needs of Texans.

 Ever since I first set eyes on the Texas Gulf Coast, inspiration has consumed me.  With over 367 miles of varied topography, warm waters and golden sand, the possibilities for family and friends to celebrate is immense.  I grew up in a coastal town and know first-hand what it feels like to be part of something incredibly special. There is no chance to hide the sun while feeling the wet air and cool sand beneath your feet.  There is so much to do but time stands still while mesmerized by the sound of the soothing waves in the horizon.  And the sunset, oh the endless sunset!  As the sun goes down to sleep over the beautiful Texas coast, a glimmer of light, as a boundless crimson burst, hides behind the infinite shades of blue with a promise that tomorrow will arise again.

Sandra Strauss Jones continues to pursue regional physical and online showings of her unique art.  This honorable mention was a positive showcase in a very large competitive submission of other art in the area.  The art piece selected will be placed on the inside cover of the next issue of Texas Shores.

SSJ Art Design Announces Art Release

Austin, Texas— February, 2022 — This month, SSJ Art Design announced the launch of its website and social media platform to showcase a painting collection by a remarkable new artist, Sandra Strauss Jones.

Says artist Jones, “I am so excited to finally launch my corporate website and social media presence to showcase all of my art.  I hope everyone enjoys my work as much as I enjoy each creative endeavor.”  Jones is a Texas resident and has been painting for years, however with the encouragement of family and friends, has now made her beautiful paintings available for purchase via her website and at local art fairs.

Positive Customer Impact

Customers are already benefiting from acquisition of these special paintings, whose unique abstract designs and colors are proving to enhance any home or commercial wall space.  “Sandra’s paintings are exactly what we were looking for as a focal point in our Texas winery business showroom ,” said one very pleased customer.  “We are getting excellent compliments from all our guests.”

Jones uses a variety of tools and acrylic paints to achieve, what many call, a fantastic result in the abstract genre.  Like many artists, Jones gets her inspiration from various sources, however most of her works center on beach and ocean scenery, which she loves.
